Borrowing and Returning
【Borrowing】

Bring the materials you wish to borrow and your library card to a library counter.

Self-checkout machines are also available in the Ochanomizu Library.

【Library Use Only Materials】

＜Ochanomizu Library＞

　reference books (dictionaries, etc.), unbound journals, books in course syllabi, rare books, index journals, abstract journals, audiovisual materials, materials connected to TMDU (a portion of such materials may be borrowed)

＜Konodai Library＞

　reference books (dictionaries, etc.), new journals, pamphlets, large-sized books

【Renewal】　

　Library materials can be renewed once either through My Library or at a library counter.

However, materials may not be renewed in the following circumstances.

- If materials are overdue

- If the materials are reserved for use by another person

【Loans between the Ochanomizu and Konodai Library】

　Materials are delivered between the Main Library and Branch Library once per week.

Please apply at a library counter to order an interlibrary loan between the libraries.

【Returning】

Materials from both the Ochanomizu Library and Konodai Library may be returned at either library.

During library hours: Return materials at a library counter.

After hours: Return materials using the book drop boxes at either library entrance and　on the first floor of M&D Tower.

Please take care to return materials by their due date. Returning late can inconvenience other library users.

Persons with overdue materials cannot borrow new materials, or make renewals. Some restrictions will also apply to My Library.

 
Bound journals(Automated Storage and Retrieval System)

Bound journals at the Ochanomizu Library are stored in the Automated Storage and Retrieval System. Please make a reservation in advance to use the system. It is possible to take out materials from the system 30 minutes before closing.
